Connecticut hard drive data recovery and RAID recovery services, By Don Anderson

connecticut file recovery
A good portion of our business comes from the state of Connecticut and surrounding cities like Bridgeport, New Haven, Hartford, Stamford, Waterbury, Norwalk, Danbury, and New Britain. You are welcome to drop off the drive at my location, or ship it to us with the satisfaction of knowing it isn't traveling very far.

Tri-State Data Recovery & Forensics, LLC

based in New Jersey, has separated itself from other data recovery companies that advertise in Connecticut by providing unparalleled service in data recovery from issues like a hard drive crash, dropped hard drive, bad sectors and more. Tri-State Data Recovery provides complete confidentiality combined with affordable rates and payment plans. Through intense Data recovery and forensics training courses along side of the FBI, and years of experience you can be certain you are coming to the best.

Our clients are welcome to see our class 10 clean room and learn how the recovery process works. It's important to understand that all data recovery is not the same. Most clicking hard drives require pcb soldering or clean room work. When calling a data recovery service ask to see their clean room. Most likely they are outsourced, meaning they will charge you a premium and send your hard drive to a third party. Who knows exactly who is looking at your data?

Your best option is to store the drive safely, until you are ready to have a professional recover the data. A small percentage of drives that have surface damage "platter damage" on the service area are deemed unrecoverable by ANYONE. The typical time frame of a level 1 or 2 recovery is within 48 hours. The typical time frame of a level 3 recovery is 1-3 weeks. These are accurate, reliable, and honest answers to your questions.

What is Data Recovery and who is qualified to perform it? While many companies in Manhattan claim to be qualified, not many have had proper training. Your drive will only be worked on by a qualified "Data Recovery Expert" certified engineer. Visit our Blog for detailed information on the recovery process and my FaceBook page for pictures of drives we have worked on in our class 10 clean room.

Forensics

don anderson forensics

It is very difficult to find someone qualified, trustworthy, and specialized in digital forensics. Most of the principles and techniques are the same as data recovery aside from using hardware like write-blockers to protect the integrity and credibility of the captured data. We provide a reliable, cost effective, rapid, and credible service to the industry.

Common Hard Drive problems

Clicking Hard Drive data recovery

If you hear your drive clicking, clunking, beeping, buzzing, grinding, or making any abnormal sounds do not attempt to run any software on it or continue to power it on. Shut the drive off immediately and call a professional. Visit our sounds page to listen to some sounds that damaged hard drives make.

In most cases this is a good sign that you will need a level 3 recovery to replaced damaged heads. It can also be a seized motor, stiction, dirty heads, or even other problems.

Dropped Hard Drive

A large sum of drives we receive from Connecticut have been dropped or knocked over resulting in damaged heads or read errors. If you have dropped your laptop or hard drive resulting in read errors, non recognition, clicking or beeping then stop at once and give us a call.

Virus corruption or accidental format data recovery

When a virus has corrupted your operating system causing the system to no longer boot up this is considered a level 1 or logical data recovery. There is nothing physically wrong with the drive and a clean room repair is not needed in cases like this.
If you are having I/O device errors, disk read errors, or your computer is blue screening there is a good possibility that your hard drive has developed numerous bad sectors. In cases like these the likelyhood of recovery is normally very good if the drive is not continuously tampered with causing more problems. Special hardware is needed to read bad sectors. Using software on drives like this will cause more damage. The only time software should ever be used is if the drive has no physical problems and the data loss is stricly a logical problem.
