USB flash memory stick data recovery services, By Don Anderson

Tri-State Data Recovery is your best choice for recovering from nearly all brands of USB flash memory sticks.

Did you know that the data is stored on a chip on the circuit board called NAND?

NAND data recovery
NAND chip

Did you know that usb flash drives have a shelf life? The data on the chip starts becoming corrupted after so many read/write cycles. The average life-span of a USB or SSD is about 5-6 years. This chip must be removed in most cases, decoded with special equipment which could take some time depending on encryption. A common system occurs when windows will ask if you want to format the drive and will no longer allow you to access the data. DO NOT format the drive. Physical damage of the usb stick is very common, as well. If the USB connector has broken off, the data is still recoverable.

Tri-State Data Recovery & Forensics, LLC

based in New Jersey, has separated itself from the rest by providing unparalleled service in data recovery from issues like a hard drive crash, dropped hard drive, bad sectors and more. Tri-State Data Recovery provides complete confidentiality combined with affordable rates and payment plans. Through intense Data recovery and forensics training courses along side of the FBI, and years of experience you can be certain you are coming to the best.

My clients are welcome to see my class 10 clean room and learn how the recovery process works. It's important to understand that all data recovery is not the same. Most clicking hard drives require pcb soldering or clean room work. When calling a data recovery service ask to see their clean room. Most likely they are outsourced, meaning they will charge you a premium and send your hard drive to a third party. Who knows exactly who is looking at your data?

Your best option is to store the drive safely, until you are ready to have a professional recover the data. A small percentage of drives that have surface damage "platter damage" on the service area are deemed unrecoverable by ANYONE. The typical time frame of a level 1 or 2 recovery is within 48 hours. The typical time frame of a level 3 recovery is 1-3 weeks. These are accurate, reliable, and honest answers to your questions.

USB Data Recovery

What is Data Recovery and who is qualified to perform it? While many companies claim to be qualified not many have had proper training. Your drive will only be worked on by me, a qualified "Data Recovery Expert" certified engineer. Visit my Blog for detailed information on the recovery process and my FaceBook page for pictures of drives I have worked on in my class 10 clean room.

Forensics

don anderson forensics

It is very difficult to find someone qualified, trustworthy, and specialized in digital forensics. Most of the principles and techniques are the same as data recovery aside from using hardware like write-blockers to protect the integrity and credibility of the captured data. We provide a reliable, cost effective, rapid, and credibile service to the industry.

Clicking Hard Drive data recovery

If you hear your drive clicking, clunking, beeping, buzzing, grinding, or making any abnormal sounds do not attempt to run any software on it or continue to power it on. Shut the drive off immediately and call a professional. Visit my sounds page to listen to some sounds that damaged hard drives make.

In most cases this is a good sign that you will need a level 3 recovery to replaced damaged heads. It can also be a seized motor, stiction, dirty heads, or even other problems.

Dropped Hard Drive data recovery

A huge portion of drives that come in for recovery are from physical abuse. When a laptop or external hard drive is dropped this usually causes some kind of physical damage. Most cases of dropped drives turn out to need head replacements, which is also a level 3 recovery.

Virus corruption or accidental format data recovery

When a virus has corrupted your operating system causing the system to no longer boot up this is considered a level 1 or logical data recovery. There is nothing physically wrong with the drive and a clean room repair is not needed in cases like this.

I/O errors data recovery

Disk read errors data recovery

Windows blue screen errors data recovery

If you are having I/O device errors, disk read errors, or your computer is blue screening there is a good possibility that your hard drive has developed numerous bad sectors. In cases like these the likelyhood of recovery is normally very good if the drive is not continuously tampered with causing more problems. Special hardware is needed to read bad sectors. Using software on drives like this will cause more damage. The only time software should ever be used is if the drive has no physical problems and the data loss is stricly a logical problem.
RAID data Recovery
If you suddenly experienced RAID failure it's very important to stop at once, label the drives in the correct order of the ARRAY and contact a professional. Normally one or more drives have failed bringing the entire RAID down. These can be very complicated to recover from depending on how many drives are in the ARRAY and what type of damage has been done. After the repair has been completed the entire ARRAY must be rebuilt before the data can be recovered.
